Biography
Lise Delmas holds a Ph.D in African-American studies and visual studies from the University of Western Brittany in Brest, France. Her thesis was dedicated to the photographic work of Gordon Parks (1912-2006), who was the first black photographer to work for the FSA and Life magazine. Her research focuses on the notion of black visibility in the American visual history.
