Thomas Preveraud teaches mathematics and history of mathematics at Université Lille Nord de France. He is a member of the Laboratoire de mathématiques de Lens at Université d’Artois. His research is turned towards mathematics circulations in the United States during the 19th century. He focuses on translations and adaptations of French mathematics textbooks and mathematical circulation by technical and professionnal journals into American education, research and social area.
