Jan Baetens

Biography

Jan Baetens is professor of cultural studies at the University of Leuven (Belgium). He mainly publishes on visual narrative in "minor" genres. Some of his recent books are: "Novelization. From Film to Novel" (OSU Press, 2028), "The Film Photonovel" (Texas UP, 2019) and "Rebuilding Storyworlds." (Rutgers UP, 2020). He is also a published writer and poet and has recently published "Une fille comme toi" (JBE éditions, 2020) and "Après, depuis" (Les Impressions Nouvelles, 2021).
